Discover Airlines will enter the UK market for the first time in summer 2027, launching four routes to Bristol, Glasgow and Inverness from its Frankfurt and Munich bases.

The Lufthansa Group leisure carrier will inaugurate Frankfurt–Glasgow services on March 29, operating up to six times weekly. Glasgow will gain a second Discover Airlines link from Munich on May 16, with up to two flights per week. The latter replaces a service previously flown by Lufthansa.

A twice-weekly Frankfurt–Bristol route will follow on May 17, operating on Mondays and Thursdays, while weekly flights between Frankfurt and Inverness will begin on June 19. All four services will use Airbus A320 equipment.

The expansion will give Discover Airlines up to 11 weekly UK flights and make it the only carrier offering nonstop connections from Frankfurt to each of the three destinations. Bristol passengers will also gain access to onward connections across the wider Lufthansa Group network.

Discover said the routes had been selected amid growing demand for holidays combining culture, scenery and outdoor activities. The new destinations expand Discover’s developing short-haul programme from Lufthansa’s principal German hubs. The airline, which began operations in 2021, currently serves Shannon in Ireland once weekly during the summer season and operates a fleet of 33 aircraft.
