Airliner World January 2014

Airliner World January 2014

Highlights

  • In the January issue of Airliner World we look behind the scenes at the Fort Lauderdale-based ultra low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines and we visit Las Vegas/McCarran International Airport, gateway to the gambling capital of the world. Maintaining our US theme, we join American Airlines on its inaugural Boeing 777-300ER flight from London to Los Angeles and sample its new Business Class offering. We also have a selection of images from one of Arizona’s largest airliner storage and scrapping facilities at Pinal Airpark.
  • In the latest edition, Airliner World profiles the privately-owned Iranian operator Zagros Airlines and we hear how Proflight Zambia is expanding its network across Central Africa. Closer to home, we chronicle the history of UK short-haul carrier British European Airways and we join the Dublin-based Airliner Experience enthusiast group on a special Fokker 100 charter flight.
  • The January issue also incorporates our comprehensive coverage of worldwide news including all of the announcements from the Dubai Airshow, BA Cityflyer’s ‘Toughpad’ and Manchester’s new Air Traffic Control tower. Finally, we have all of our regular sections covering the latest commercial aircraft acquisitions, up-to-date accident reports and developments from the world of aviation training. We also have details of our 2013 Photograph of the Year competition and offer readers the opportunity to win a 12-month subscription to Airliner World in our caption competition.
