Riyadh Air has kicked off the Farnborough Airshow with a pair of orders for Boeing 787s and Airbus A350s.

Meanwhile, not to leave Boeing out of the shopping spree, Riyadh Air has committed to purchase 28 787 Dreamliners.

The Saudi carrier will exercise options from its 2023 order for 72 Boeing 787-9s and convert 20 options to the largest 787-10 variant.

The airline has taken delivery of six 787-9s in quick succession since early June.
