South Korean carrier T’way Air has officially adopted the name Trinity Airways, beginning operations under its new identity on September 10.

The rebrand follows the airline’s acquisition by hospitality and leisure group Sono Trinity Group. It forms part of a broader strategy to combine air travel with the company’s hotel, resort and tourism businesses. Trinity is positioning itself as a “Selective Service Carrier” (SSC), offering services tailored according to individual routes, flight duration and passenger requirements.

Trinity’s first service was domestic flight TW801, which departed Daegu for Jeju at 0610 local time. Its first international operation, TW237, left Seoul/Incheon for Tokyo/Narita at 0655. Boeing 737 MAX 8, HL8754 (c/n 44335), also entered service in the carrier’s new corporate identity on the Gimpo-Jeju route.

The Boeing jet features Trinity’s new grey and rose-gold livery and forms part of a seven-aircraft lease commitment with Aviation Capital Group, with the remaining examples due by the end of 2026.

New branding has also been introduced across uniforms, airport counters, the airline’s website and mobile app. Existing bookings remain valid, while the TW airline code and flight numbers are unchanged.
