Saudi carrier Riyadh Air is to increase its number of flights to London/Heathrow from seven to nine per week.
From Monday, November 2, the airline will add a Monday and Wednesday evening flight departing at 1910hrs to complement the existing 0930 seven-days-a-week service. The new connection will land at 0440 local time in the Saudi capital. Coming the other way, the new additional flights will depart Riyadh at 1255, arriving in London at 1710 local time.
The airline commenced revenue services on June 10, (see Airliner World September 2026 issue) and currently operates to 14 destinations, with Jakarta due to join the roster on November 16, and Milan/Malpensa from December 16. By the end of 2026 it aims to have announced 30 destinations.
Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, said: “Since launching our London service four months ago, we have continued to build our presence in the UK by launching flights to Manchester. [These] additional flights help us meet the growing demand on this important route while giving guests more choice and flexibility while strengthening the connection between Riyadh and London.”
Riyadh Air currently operates a fleet of eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Another two are due for imminent delivery from the Boeing final assembly plant in Charleston, South Carolina, with both HZ-RXAH (c/n 69478) and HZ-RXAJ (c/n 69479) having undergone test flights. The carrier is also expecting to receive its first Airbus A321neo before the end of the year.
